I’m a tiger tabby and I’m so sweet I should come with an epi-pen. *MOL* I’ve only been here at Chez MAARC for a few days and I gotta say it’s nice to know I’m not alone in this world. Still, I’m hoping my prince (or princess) will come rescue me and bring me to my furever palace where I can twirl and play and mew to my heart’s content! 🐾🍃 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THRU MAARC 🍃🐾Hi folks, my name is Willow and I’m a husky girl with a checkerboard pattern on my snoot. I’m around 2 years old, I came in as a stray and was never reclaimed. I know what you’re thinking, I “don’t look like a stray.” Yeah, most strays don’t. Cause we’re just dogs. We play, run, cuddle, and love just like other dogs. But this is what you really want to know about me; I get along with pretty much everything! Thats people, dogs, cats, kids, peacocks, walrus, and purple chinchillas. That does not mean to stick me in a small room with your purple chinchilla with no introductions and leave us unattended for 5 hours. Common sense is your friend.. I mean who even HAS a purple chinchilla?? And even if you do, the local shelter almost certainly does not have a stock of purple chinchillas used just to test dogs reactions. Or peacocks, or walrus. Anyway, I digress. If you don’t have a purple chinchilla and wish you had a Willow call/text Al at 865-221-5767 or Lisa at 865-310-2599. Or you can apply online at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt. ... 🤎🐾 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THRU MAARC 🐾🤎

Hi everybody! I’m Iris and I’m what folks in the rescue world like to call a grown ass adult dog. Sure, I’ve got a tinge of grey on my snoot but with that grey comes a lot of benefits. I’ve been around the block a time or two so I’m not going to act like one of those little whipper snapper puppies. I go outside to do poops, not in your favorite pair of shoes. I chew on food and bones, not curtains, table legs, or *gasp* the new couch. I sleep happily through the night, I won’t wake you up whining, screaming or crying and you’re never going to have to stand out in the rain at 4am waiting for me to pee. I love all peoples, and they tell me I’m super sweet. Im uber good with kids, cats scare me a little, I can be a little selective about other dogs here, but I may be fine once I get out of this shelter. Honestly this place stresses me out! Hopefully I get out of here sooner rather than later. If ya wanna meet me call/text Al at 865-221-5767 or Lisa at 865-310-2599. Or you can apply online at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt.

🎶🐱SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY - CURRENTLY IN FOSTER 🎶🐱SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY - CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE🐱🎶

If you’ll be my bodyguard, I can be your long lost pal. I can call you Betty (or Benny) and you can call me Al. *MOL* Yeah, I’m trying to make light of my not-so-light situation. See, I got picked up back in March and was rushed to the vet cuz I was limping real bad after being hit by a car. I mean, I ain’t a little guy so how could they have missed me??? Anyhoot, it hurt like the dickens and I got real angry about it and hissed at everybody who tried to help me. Long story short, the damage to my leg was so bad they had to remove it, but once it was gone the pain was too and I was voted “Most Handsome Cuddlebug” in the recovery ward. I’ve been in hospice ever since where I’m treated like a normal kitty, getting all the loving I can while I get used to being a tripod. I’m super cozy here, but these nice people already have 3 cats upstairs and they think I’m finally ready to find my own place. Here’s the rub; I’m still kinda skittish and loud noises usually send me diving under the sofa so it may take me a while to get used to new people and places. I’m also FIV+ so the less stress in my life the better. Once I trust you tho, I’m a total mushy lap cat (with a slight drooling problem) and will hoppily follow you around. So if you're willing to give a fluffy tripod like me a second chance at a furever home, contact my foster mom Stephanie at (908) 331-0462 or fill out an application at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt. Come on and sing it with me...🎶na na na na, na na na na🎶’

Freya’s the name, playing’s my game! Yep, I’m the demure little kitty named after the Norse goddess of love who had a rough start in life, living on the streets, yada yada yada. My story isn’t that unusual, but it does explain why I’m still a little shy around bipeds - even ones who’ve been caring for me all this time. But I sure do love being around other kitties! I’ve been trying real hard to live up to the regal name they bestowed on me, so contact Stephanie at (908) 331-0462 or apply online at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt and let's play!’

😺🍑 AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION THRU MAA 😺🍑 AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION THRU MAARC 🍑😺

I’m Apricot and I’m a *special needs* kitty who likes to speak my mind. All the time. Mostly when I’m hungry. The folks here at MAARC have been simply pawsome, even after learning I’m FeLV+, something that will likely shorten my lifespan. Also, because it’s contagious thru poop and saliva I can’t hang out with FeLV- cats (dogs and kids can’t catch it tho). Not many cats have FeLV, but we definitely don't thrive being stuck in a kennel indefinitely. So, if you are one of those spectacular humans who wants to give a down-on-her-luck dilute tortie girl like myself the best possible life for the time I have left (which could be months or years), please contact Stephanie at (908) 331-0462 to discuss adopting me or taking me in as a long-term foster. Thank you!
