😸🏙️ LONDON NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME 🏙️😸When a cat like London comes along, it not only pulls our heartstrings, it renews our mission to rescue animals in need. London is victim of animal cruelty, negligence and abandonment, but thanks to the good Samaritan who found her, she is now safe, warm, fed and getting the medical care she sorely lacked. When animal control rushed her to the vet the day before Thanksgiving, they thought she was just a disgruntled, malnourished 4-5 year old stray. They also discovered she had all 4 paws inhumanely declawed, which not only left her traumatized it made her defenseless out in the wild. Once she became our ward, she ate voraciously but couldn't keep down her food and had difficulty in the litter box so she returned to the vet to undergo more tests. Sadly, she was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and hyperthyroid (and she was around 12 years old). While our volunteers are caring for her as best they can, she is still an unhappy cat and would be much better off in a less stressful home environment, preferably one with no young children or pets - or just a way to be separated from young children and pets. If you can open your heart and your home to London, please contact Stephanie at (865) 985-1543 or fill out an application at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt or www.maarcadopt.org/foster.Click here for London’s TikTok debut! ~ www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRq129gL/*London’s adoption fee is being sponsored by one of our volunteers. ... 🐾💗 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THRU MAARC 💗🐾Miss Tiddlywinks is still here?!?!??! Yes, Tiddly has the unbelievable distinction of being our longest tenant at the cat kennels. It’s been well over a year since she came to us and while she does seem pretty content playing the Queen Bae of the Free Roam Room, watching other kitties come and go from the top perch on the cat tree, we would love her to find her own furever home. Yes, she has a RBF and yes, she is the poster child for “torbitude” and yes, you still can’t pick her up without a fight. But once she earns your trust, she’ll be your BFF (especially if you happen to have treats nearby), so if you're looking for a quiet companion for you or your other feline friend, contact Stephanie at (865) 985-1543 or fill out an application at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt.Check out Tiddly’s YouTube video! youtu.be/jIslHjLuSM8’ ... **SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY - CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME **SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY - CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME** Coffee, tea or ME? You said me, right? Just checking... So I've prepared my shortlist of demands, which are pretty non-negotiable: (1) a human who sees I'm 100% pure awesomesauce, (2) room and board for the next 10+ years, (3) fun things to play with, (4) lots of attention in the form of pets and cuddles, and (5) the most important of all, I need insulin cuz I was diagnosed with diabetes after I weaned my kittens. While I can't guarantee I'll reduce stress like the flower extract I'm named after, I will add joy to your life, so go ahead and contact Cheryl at (865) 755-5392 or fill out an application at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt to place your order for one Chamomile to go!

Hi everybody! I’m the new girl at the shelter, a Hi everybody! I’m the new girl at the shelter, and I bet you can guess why I’m called Raven. I came in with that name and I’ve had it all 8 months of my life. The folks here figure that I’ve already been through so much in the last few days, what with losing my home and all then ending up in this scary place, that my name is the only thing I have left that I know. They think I deserve to keep it, at least for now. Poor me. I am feeling a little shy, but all you have to do is say a few kind words to me and I start warming up. I would love a new home, and hopefully the next one lasts longer than my last one. So if you would love a sweet shy little labby girl please call or text Al at 865-221-5767 or Autum at 865-599-6181. Or apply online at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt.

**FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED FOR SPECIAL NEEDS **FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED FOR SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY** Casio here, with another bio update cuz my situation has changed yet again. If you recall, I came into the shelter as a feral (hence my way cool ear tip), and after a few months I started to enjoy the pets and coos the folks here have been giving me (not to mention the yummy noms). Then, a couple times they noticed that my kennel looked like the aftermath of a frat party, but it wasn't until one of the volunteers found me in the midst of a seizure that they understood why. Turns out, I'm epileptic and now that I'm on meds to keep them at bay I'm feeling (and acting) much better. The thing is, I need them every 10-12 hours so that's why I'm hoping to find a foster or adoptive home sooner rather than later so I can be monitored more closely. So if you've got some room in your home and your heart for a purrty "special needs" gal, contact Stephanie at (865) 985-1543 so she can set up a meet and greet. You can also make a donation to my ongoing medical care on our website www.maarcadopt.org/donate. Thanks for listening!

😺 CAT ADOPTION OPEN HOUSE 😺 We will be open 😺 CAT ADOPTION OPEN HOUSE 😺

We will be open this SATURDAY from 12-4pm for our weekly OPEN HOUSE at 410 Home Avenue! No appointment necessary, just stop by to visit our adoptable cats! We have new cats coming in all the time. Stop by and say hello to our fabulous felines!

🐾💗 This event will be held at the MAARC Cat Rescue Center at 410 HOME AVENUE this Saturday 12-4pm 💗🐾
Hold on a second. Did you say I'm 8 years old? No, Hold on a second. Did you say I'm 8 years old? No, you must be mistaken! A purrty petite gal like myself couldn't possibly be *ehem* middle-aged. Well, maybe I just lost track of time. Everything got real confusing after my human passed away, but at least I have my little sister Lenora with me and we're making the best of a bad situation. We're also learning how much nicer it is being indoor-only kitties, especially with this wacky winter we're having. I gotta admit, it's pawsome having a warm and quiet place to sleep and food to eat without lifting a toe bean! The people here are super nice and patient with us, but we'd love to find a new home together. So if you'd like to give a couple sweet mature gals a second chance, contact Stephanie at (865) 985-1543 or fill out an application at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt.

Chewie (still) here! Maybe y'all don't understand Chewie (still) here! Maybe y'all don't understand Shyriiwook so I'll stick to my second language. Meow, meow mew mew, meow meow mew meow. No? OK, maybe my third language...So I've been here many moons, waiting to be someone's couch co-pilot, and the ladies who come to see me every day at the kennel are amazed that I've been overlooked. I mean, I'm a Wookie and I ain't small. I'm not a walking carpet tho...more like a walking bathmat. *MOL* Wookies are fluffy and lovable and loyal to our humans and we'll follow them to the ends of the galaxy, if necessary. So contact Cheryl at (865) 755-5392 or fill out an application online at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt and wook no further than Chewie! Bppp!

Yes, my name is Polly and no, I don't want a crack Yes, my name is Polly and no, I don't want a cracker. I'll take a shot of whiskers tho! *MOL* So I got my name cuz I happen to be polydactyl, which means I have a bunch of extra toes that makes me look like I'm wearing permanent mittens. You may also be wondering why I look like I'm silently judging you in all of my pictures. See, I'm a recent momma of 4 kittens who kinda took a toll on me cuz I'm barely more than a kitten myself. I'm a little waifish and I can be a bit ornery at times, but I'm working both of those things cuz I keep hearing about these "furever homes" and they sound kinda awesome. My dream home would be a quiet one where I can be your one and only lapcat and not have any littles of any kind running around. (Been there, done that.) If you think we may be a purrfect match, contact Cheryl at (865) 755-5392 or fill out an application at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt.

So I was reading my old bio and was like, I need a So I was reading my old bio and was like, I need an editor pronto! *MOL* See, I was scared outta my wits after I got lost in the woods near Maryville College and it did take a long time for me to feel comfortable around bipeds. But once they put me in the "free roam room" here at the kennel, I learned how to cat and, most importantly, be a lot more receptive to the snuggles everyone here wants to give me. Yeah, I'm more of a wallflower than a participant, but I do like hanging out with my fellow felines. And I still have my "AACCKK!!" moments when I'm startled, but I'm so ready for finding one of those furever homes I keep hearing about. Contact Stephanie at (865) 985-1543 or fill out an application online at www.maarcadopt.org/adopt and ask for li'l ol' Rainie, the little grey tigress!
